Reviews I’ve written about various web pages, movies, books, etc.

couldn’t watch Watchmen

We got a bit of snow, enough to cover my brother’s porch, the trampoline, and the cars, but only barely enough to dust the grass. That was last night, when it was still coming down. At one point when I went out, I couldn’t tell if it was rain or snow before it [...]

Paranormal Activity… I guess?

I just got back from seeing Paranormal Activity with Jon and, honestly, I’m disappointed. There was all this hype about the movie, like it’s the scariest thing in years, it’s like a Hitchcock film, it’s an intelligent horror movie, etc. It wasn’t bad, and I appreciated that Micah and Katie seemed like normal [...]

American McGee’s Alice

5 / 5 stars By EA Games for the PC and Mac I’m a fan of Alice in Wonderland anyway, so when I read about this game in PC Gamer several years ago, I was excited. American McGee, who used to work at Id, which produced the infamous Doom and Quake series, is the creator of [...]

3till7.net's subjective score is 2.3. It's all good—your site is good. Sarah, your site has so much content—it's amazing. But watch out for content going stale, watch out for coding errors on your sub pages, and re-consider your use of tables.

Paper Mario

5 / 5 stars By Nintendo for the Nintendo 64 This was an incredibly fun game for me. You play as Mario, that lovable Italian plumber, and you have to rescue Princess Peach, whom Bowser has kidnapped away to his castle in the sky. In order to do so, you have to recover the stolen [...]

Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door

3.5 / 5 stars By Nintendo for the GameCube This is the second game in the Paper Mario series and, while not as good as the first, it’s still an excellent game. It’s very akin to the first Paper Mario in that its fights are turn-based, so they rely on your strategical skills as opposed to [...]

Shattered Moment Reviews

Your photography and your graphics are amazing. Keep it up. I know that you can make much better graphics than the header image in your layout, and the brown color was not a good choice with the peach and pink. But overall, I think your site is really good. Keep up the good work.

Harlequin Reviews

If I’m completely honest, this layout does nothing for me. The colours are reminiscent of human excrement (from both ends) and that’s putting is nicely. Knowing that you’re capable of a lot more, I’m left wondering why it looks like a web design n00b made this layout. I’m somewhat a little hesitant about saying what I feel I need to say in this review though because I know you’re probably a thousand times better than me at the game of web design, but I shall be honest.

Sacred-Nights.com

Whoa.. I’m here already? Well, to conclude this review… whew.. what to say? With the exception of some minor things to improve on, your website is definitely on my list of “top few websites that Trisha visits frequently.” To be on such a list is almost near impossible, so you know you’ve a special website on your hands.

Not-Noticeably.net

If a site has an overall pleasing layout and structure, then I think focusing on the little details is an important next step. I tend to react better to a site if I can tell the owner has put in a lot of work.
