Hi there! I’m a 24-year-old programmer who got her Master’s in computer science from the University of Kentucky. I enjoy programming, playing video games, and reading. When I have a free moment, I’m often found playing Skyrim, Minecraft, Dragon Age: Origins, Animal Crossing, or The Sims 3, or hanging out with my boyfriend Jon.
Music-wise, I use Pandora and Turntable.FM a lot to find new music in genres like electropop, indie pop, and trip-hop. I listen to music almost constantly throughout the day, whether I’m at my desk at work, on the couch at home, or driving. My three favorite bands of the moment are La Roux, Oh Land, and Portishead.

As someone who enjoys programming and is a perfectionist about it, sites like Stack Overflow are a godsend. I participate there a lot, particularly when I’m stumped on something at work. Some of my projects can be found on Github as well, including my Master’s project.

With respect to TV and movies, I like Game of Thrones, Six Feet Under, Breaking Bad, and Dexter. Bleach was all right for a while until that horrible Bounto story arc. I like several of Hayao Miyazaki‘s movies along with movies like The Matrix, 300, The Count of Monte Cristo, and Snatch.
About 3till7.net
This domain was purchased through DreamHost on December 31, 2003 by my dad. The name came to me one evening at 6:57 PM when I checked the time–”three till seven” just sounded cool. I’ve enjoyed maintaining it over the years, using it as an outlet for sharing the programming tricks I’ve learned, as well as rants and opinions that just have to be expressed. Sometimes I feel like the cobbler’s kids in that I do all this neat CSS and JavaScript stuff for work, then don’t do anything fancy for this site. I go through periods where I update and tweak and style this site like crazy, then hit a dry spell where I don’t blog for months. I always come back, though, because web design and blogging remain favorite pastimes.
