new layout using Pinboard theme
Wanting to take a break from the D&D Leaderboard app that Joe and I have been working on together recently, I decided to put up a new layout. Like the previous one, I wanted to start with a nice theme and just make a WordPress child theme of it. I built on the WordPress Twenty Eleven theme last time. I chose Pinboard this time because of the awesome attention to detail and how it makes use of CSS 3 transitions. I then used the lovely Rock the Casbah palette by chay33:

I still need to make some tweaks to the CSS when viewed at smaller resolutions, but for the most part, things are laid out fine. I may end up doing what I did for the previous layout where I use a random palette/background each time you load a page. If so, I’ll stick to the kind of patterns found on ColourLovers to have some consistency. I dunno though, I really love these browns, reds, and golds.
