The good news: Jon got a programming job that will pay decent money and provide good benefits.
The bad news: it’s in Cincinnati, so we’ll only be able to see each other on weekends. :( Mom has pointed out that I’ll be kept busy with work and class, which is true, but it’s going to suck not seeing him every day. He starts Monday, so I’m going to try and squeeze as much us-time as possible out of the remaining hours till he leaves on Sunday. We’re going to Oktoberfest tonight at one of the local Catholic cathedrals, where I plan to get a tasty mug of Kentucky Ale, and perhaps also try some wine.
Ha. Hahahaha.
I am about to start looking in Cincinnati. I don’t want to move home, even though it would be slightly cheaper to live with my parents. :P
It’s good Jon got a great job, but it’s definitely a sucky situation to be in if you two can’t be together. I feel like I’m in a long distance relationship half the time because, lately, Ryan’s only been home on weekends. It’s definitely hard.
I am surprisingly happy with my LDR. We are close enough where seeing each other isn’t too much of a pain (still 5 hour drive though), but I like being able to be on my own schedule and get stuff done for myself (which, if my BF were here, I would most likely neglect to do some of it). It sucks at times, but I just try to focus on the good parts (vacations are even better when you’ve been missing each other for a long time!)
