charity site, tumblelog

I forgot to mention that my web design work for charity health clinic Baby Health wrapped up, and they’re left with a new site: babyhealthlexington.org. And by ‘new’ site, I mean entirely new, because the organization has never had a web site before. I got into the project because a professor at UK was contacted last semester by someone who helps with the clinic, asking if some student might be willing and able to design a site for them. The professor got in touch with me and I worked on content creation, a little English to Spanish translation since the clinic gets a lot of Hispanic patients, and layout design, all as part of an independent study course at UK. That way, the clinic got a web site for free, and I got course credit for it. I’ve handed it off to the Baby Health folks with instructions on posting new entries, but I see they haven’t gotten around to that yet… Anywho, hopefully it’ll be a useful place to disseminate information about the clinic.

I also got a wild hair and decided that I might get more use out of this blog if I set it up like a tumblelog, because while I don’t get the urge to write long, involved entries much, I do post to Flickr with some regularity, as well as Twitter, Github, etc. I’m looking into creating a new theme now, as well as incorporating my activity on other sites here. This is my theme inspiration, BTW:
