weird sleep schedule
I’ve never had my sleeping schedule so turned around in my life! For the past week and a half, I’ve been going to bed later and later (or earlier and earlier?) and sleeping through most of the day. I’ve finally started to shove it around, rotating my schedule so that I went to bed around noon yesterday and got up at 11p. I’ll probably be awake till 6p today, but shuffling around like a zombie come this afternoon. My parents have sort of been following in my footsteps, which isn’t that odd for my dad who stays up at all hours of the night when left to his own devices anyway. My mom still manages to go to bed ’round 5a, but was up at 11-something this (er, yesterday…) morning, so I got to say goodnight to her before going to bed.
I’ve been doing what I planned to do while visiting my parents: a fat lot of nothing. I tend to watch a couple movies or documentaries a day with my parents, spend a lot of time online, and bounce on the trampoline when I take a notion to. I still have another week at home with them, then it’s back to the grind at Lexmark and UK. I’ll be working three jobs this semester, which I hope won’t be the death of me: fifteen hours per week at Lexmark, ten hours for UK working on the computer science department’s web site, and another unspecified amount creating a web site for a charity health clinic. Nothing has been settled on the latter job, and I’ll need to meet with people when I’m back in Lexington to discuss what’s necessary, any deadlines they have, etc. Thank goodness I’m only taking four classes this final semester.
Let’s see, what all have I watched while I’ve been home:
- several episodes of Law and Order
- The Ghost and Mrs. Muir
- Silverado
- The Gods Must Be Crazy
- A Patch of Blue
- U.S. Marshals
- a few episodes of The War
- Housewife, 49
- Hudson Hawk
- The Buddy Holly Story
- Les Triplettes de Belleville
