The last thing I remember from last night was Tony leaving and Jessica and Jon sitting around talking. After that, the next thing was waking up at 7 a.m. on the couch and being surprised that it was morning.
Jess and I had a group over last night to celebrate the end of the semester, the end of finals, and for some of them the end of college. Jon and I still have a semester to go, but we’ll all end up walking together since the only graduation ceremony is in May. So we went out for dinner, then made a liquor run, then settled in at the apartment to play Mario Party 7, watch bits of an episode of The Wuzzles, watch parts of Batman, then just sit around and talk while Sarah went to snooze-land.
I was winning at first in Mario Party, then suddenly losing from a Pink Boo taking my Star and the other players getting other Stars. My lower back and bottom got to hurting laying on the floor (we’ve only got two wireless controllers, so two poor saps have to sit right next to the TV), so I swapped out with Tony and let him take over as Dry Bones. He brought the character back to be ahead by two Stars, but dirty old Peach (played by dirty old Jessica) won the game by getting all three bonus Stars.
Bryan and Katie’s wedding is today, and everyone’s meeting here beforehand. We’ll take photos while looking snazzy! It’ll be great! And then I’ll make you look at them!
When I got in the shower this morning, Jess was already in hers down the hall. Things were fine for most of our showers, then the water got icy and I had to finish rinsing my hair while holding my body as far away from the water as possible and just hanging my head over. When I got out, I hollered if Jess had made it out before the cold struck; nope, turns out she was in the middle of shaving a leg. Poor cold leg.
My grades are looking pretty good this time around. Only three have come in so far: A in artificial intelligence, B in operating systems, and A in honors (an English/reading/philosophy class). If I get at least one more A from my remaining two classes, my cumulative GPA will go up and I’ll be happy happy happy! I had an A at midterm in Asian philosophy, but that could go down if I got a B on the final. I felt good about it, but who knows.
I realize this is none of my business, but did something happen with Todd? You haven’t posted about him in forever so my natural curiosity kicked in. You don’t have to tell me, of course, I was just wondering if everything was okay.
Lorina: yeah, actually: we broke up earlier this month. It was my idea and he wasn’t keen on it at all, but he’s working through it and even coming to see that it was necessary. It hurt me, too, but I’m also getting through it. Thanks for asking. :) I was trying to make no mention of it in my blog, just because it could be hurtful to Todd and I haven’t told my parents yet, but they’ll find out come tomorrow when I go for a visit anyway.
Well, I’m glad that you are getting through it okay.
yayy for semester end! mine will end soon heh.
and yayy for your grades!
