new license

I just got my license updated because today is my twenty-first birthday. :) I’m now a proud owner of a landscape-oriented driver’s license, proof that I’m 21 years of age and legal for the purchasin’ of alky-hols. I went to lunch with Todd directly after getting my new license and I was saddened that we ate at a sandwich place that doesn’t sell alcohol. I couldn’t put my license to good use! I am, however, going out tonight with some classmates to a local pub so as to sample some beers. Hot dang, it’s exciting.

Jess and I are hoping to get a head start on moving into our new apartment by moving big stuff in tomorrow and the smaller boxes of things on Saturday. This is mainly because it’s supposed to rain Saturday, and we aren’t keen on soaking our beds, couches, etc.

  1. First and foremost, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Ahh I remember when I turned 21. I couldn’t wait to go use my license and then I didn’t get carded. Anywhere. So then I just pulled it out and had it ready to they could check it.

  2. Wow – congrats! I remember that around my 18th birthday (legal drinking age here) I was very disapointed I never got asked for ‘ID’ – and now I’m nearly 23 I get asked for it all the bloody time! lol

Hope you got to put your ID to good use, and drink lots of alcohol!!

  3. Haha! Happy birthday, congratulations on the license, and don’t go drinking too much of that there “alky-hol”, it’s not good for you.

  4. Happy birthday! :D

Congrats on the new license too! Legal drinking age here is 18, and I never got asked for it when I bought ‘alky-hol’ (for my drunken grandpa, not for me :P).

Don’t go around now drinking everything that comes in a bottle or a can XD

  5. Hey, Sarah! Just thought I’d say hello and congratulations on your 21st! Sorry I wasn’t around to congratulate you personally. But I wish you the best and hope things are going well for you.

  6. Good luck with the downing tons and tons (hehe) of alcohol. Here in Belgium, one only has to be sixteen to do at, and 18 years old when vodka or whisky and such is invovled. I also get why you wan’t want any soaked furniture, hehe.
