So it up and snowed six or more inches last night, and is continuing to snow now. I was unaware we had so much accumulation, and gave Jess a call to see if the facial/manicure dealy I was to have with the girls was still on. Jess is apparently stuck at her parents’ house because of the roads, so Ashlee rescheduled for another, hopefully less snowy, day. The weather is still a concern for me, though, because I’m supposed to fly to D.C. tomorrow, and I’ve been hearing news of flight cancellations today. I’m hoping the airports get things under control by tomorrow and none of my flights are cancelled or delayed. I’m going with a group of people for one of my classes, so I’ve sent out a mass email to see what our backup plan is. Perhaps I should have… wait a second, is there a verb form of “addendum”? There isn’t?? There darn well should be, but all right, I guess I’ll go with “appended”. Ahem, perhaps I should have appended the question “Do we even have a backup plan?” Yowza.
So guess what this nerd stayed up till 2 a.m. doing? Playing LORD II of course! I ended the night and finally went to bed when I died for the umpteenth time and didn’t feel like traveling all the way back to Greentree from Mother’s House again. Of course, you probably have no idea what I’m talking about because I don’t think anybody’s played that game for years and years, except other nostalgic dorks like me that don’t mind ANSI graphics. I’ve been having a blast with it, though, and am working on leveling up enough so that I’ll be able to take down even the Giant Scorpions out in the Desert. Not that this means anything to you, though. :( But holy crap, if you have a hankering for some hot ANSI graphics in the form of an old BBS Door adventure game, give LORD II a shot. You can download a demo at the official LORD site.
Wow, you got snow too? I live in Texas and we got snow on Thursday and Tuesday.
