Hence, if man goes on selecting, and thus augmenting, any peculiarity, he will almost certainly unconsciously modify other parts of the structure, owing to the mysterious laws of the correlation of growth.

don’t give ‘im the stick!
I have finished my last class of the semester! Now I’ve just got finals to look forward to next week, and they’re distributed pretty evenly, too. I’ve got one Monday, one Tuesday, and two Thursday, so I’ve spaced out my studying plans appropriately. It sucks that my hardest final, microcomputer organization, will be on Monday. I’ve got a B in there currently and here’s hoping I’ll maintain that. I’m fairly confident I will, but who knows what will happen. Biology will also prove to be a hard final, but it’s on Thursday so I have plenty of time to study for that. After finals week, I’ll spend Friday here in Lexington, relaxing with friends, and then I may head to my parents’ for a week on Saturday. Dial-up internet and home cooking [by someone other than me], here I come!
I never watched G.I. Joe as a kid, it being a decidedly masculine cartoon like others I didn’t care for, such as Transformers and Inhumanoids, and also because the animation wasn’t that great. I preferred more detailed cartoons like Merrie Melodies and Looney Toons. However, even without understanding what G.I. Joe was really like, I still get a kick out of this wacko parody. It’s something Todd found and made me watch (Todd was a G.I. Joe fan to the core, BTW), and at least once a day I find myself thinking, and eventually saying, “Give ‘im the stick… Don’t give ‘im the stick!! Ohhhhhhhh.”
So today I’ll be attending a help session for, of course, program 2 in my algorithms class. That thing has been the bane of these last few weeks for me, so I’m not looking forward to working on it any more, but I am looking forward to getting the damn thing behind me. Afterward, I figure I’ll study some biology and microcomputer organization, then relax for a couple hours. Tonight, I’m going out with Jessica and Ashlee for Jessica’s twenty-first birthday. Ha, she doesn’t turn 21 till tomorrow, though, so when we go to a restaurant tonight, she’ll be drinking Coke or water like the rest of us! I still haven’t gotten the girl a gift because she hasn’t told me what she wants; maybe tonight we’ll hit up a store and she can pick something out.
