"You don’t have to reinstall to upgrade to a new version of Ubuntu." - I know, but when I formatted I lost Ubuntu (obviously) and I'm too lazy to reinstall any version.

I'm not using Beryl anymore. Way too unstable. Any time I upgraded anything on my system, it went bonkers. So I've been Beryl-free for quite awhile now. I think this weekend I'll tackle upgrading to edgy, then if I'm feeling adventurous, go for feisty.

Jem: That's probably the Americanized shepherd's pie recipe. :) The one I had at that Pub restaurant had some au jus-like sauce in it that was great. It also had lamb, which made me nervous since I'd never had it. But I'd sure take your mom's recipe! Haha, she said 'pmsl' to me in your comments. :)

You don't have to reinstall to upgrade to a new version of Ubuntu. Try doing a Google search for 'ubuntu upgrade edgy to feisty'. That's how I found the easy guide I used. It did everything with a little GUI, restarted, and I was using the new version.

What the hell is that recipe you linked to?! That's not Shepherd's Pie! I tell you what, I should get my mum to knock you up a proper SP recipe and then you should eat that :3

I would buy a t-shirt like that, but I've not actually done anything with Perl yet so it'd be a bit of a lie :o

Jeez, you're still on Dapper, then? Yowza! The only problem I noticed after a second reboot after the update was that I didn't have any window borders. Entering 'metacity --replace' in a term, though, as according to an Ubuntu Forum post I found (naturally--they're very helpful) fixed it. :) I don't use Beryl or anything, though, so keep that in mind.

Let me know how that feisty upgrade goes. I still have been hesitant to update to edgy since it gave me problems with my ATI card last time I tried it. Now that it's stable, though, I suppose I should give it another try...or at least try it out on the computer with the nvidia card instead. Heck, I just upgraded that one from breezy to dapper since it sat unupgraded for the entire year I was in Germany :D I'm a little behind in the times!
