I pointed out that my mum had managed to be a single parent to 6 kids and it hadn't killed her. We moved on to the topic of the best time to stop (having kids) and I pointed out that my Mum had HAD to stop (hysterectomy) rather than choosing to. Anyway, Karl's mum turns around and says "so is this why your Mum became a lesbian?" I questioned the logic and she said "well, it affects your hormone levels".
