Night before last, Todd and I were hanging out at my place when there was a knock at the door. No one ever visits me that late at night so I didn’t know what to expect. It turned out to be my new Korean neighbors, Andy and Angie, and they’d brought food! Some traditional Korean dish, I was told; I have a photo that I’ll upload later, but it was two types of noodles, one very wide and tan, the other was like penne filled in and white, and it was all covered in this spicy red sauce. It was very tasty, but I had to drink a lot and get tissues because I’m a wimp with spicy food; they laughed at me. They, Todd, and myself hung around my place and talked for a half an hour or so before the subject of Internet service came up. Angie was considering going with my ISP, but for the time being, we got her set up using my connection through wireless from my Airport. If she stays with me, I’ll probably charge her half price for the bill or something, but I’m not too worried about it. While we were down in their apartment setting things up on their end, Andy showed me how to write my name using the Korean alphabet as well as some other words in Korean, which tickled me. Last night, to return the food favor, I took them some peanut butter chocolate chip cookies I made.
Yesterday was mine and Todd’s 1-year anniversary, which is hard to believe. It feels like we’ve been together a short time, but on the other hand, it’s strange thinking about having not been with him. We exchanged gifts before going out to dinner at Olive Garden. I already knew what he had gotten me, since I picked it out–he doesn’t trust his taste in jewelery; it’s a silver heart-shaped necklace on a silver chain. For him, I got a nice brown sweater and two Miyazaki DVD’s: Kiki’s Delivery Service and Howl’s Moving Castle.
I started last night on a new layout idea that I’m really happy with. With any luck, I’ll have it up in a few days. Here’s a small preview:

You’re not allowed to change the layout, I’m addicted to “walking” up and down the stairs..
Should probably read an entire entry before commenting on random bits – but congratulations on your anniversary! :)
(Btw: check your akismet queue, you might find some other comments from me lurking that I left last week.)
Hehe, well maybe I’ll leave the stairs layout up as an alternative.
I’m not seeing your last-week comment(s)–the last ones I saw from you were in January, eep! I hope Akismet didn’t automatically shuffle them off the Spam list and delete them.
Congratulations on the anniversary!
Get that layout up FAST! I’m liking the preview and I want to see more!
Haha, Trin, I knew you’d like this layout. When I got the images done for it, I thought to myself, “Trin is going to like this, it matches her current layout.”
Thanks guys re: anniversary. :)
Oh jeez, now I’m scared to find out in which way this matches my current layout :D
