chicken, dry skin, and a sweater

I made dinner for Todd and myself tonight, and I definitely recommend the recipe I used for Cheddar baked chicken. I substituted Monteray Jack and Colby for Cheddar, and I only needed two breast halves because my bird had some knockers on her.

Nothing exciting has been happening, which would explain why I’ve not been writing. Halloween was spent watching House of Usher, an old Vincent Price movie, with Todd. I registered for classes the other day:

  • CS 315 – algorithms
  • CS 275 – discrete math
  • EE 380 – second logic circuits class
  • PHY 242 – second physics lab
  • BIO 103 – basic biology

I worked Dr. Jaromczyk’s programming contest yesterday, and UK did well before I had to leave. We had three teams and two of them were in the top two positions on and off. Vandy and Centre kept trading out with us for those spots. Last night I went to Gina’s Mary Kay party where I enjoyed homemade pumpkin pie (as in, she roasted a pumpkin to make it), cake, banana bread, and skincare supplies. I bought Jessica a Christmas gift and myself a Satin Hands set because cold, dry weather wreaks havoc on my hands. My knuckles get all cracked and bloody; it’s pretty gross. My cousin Steve was there and he showed me one of his guns after the girly stuff was over. He gave me a few pointers on adjusting my grip, too, since I had this cockeyed hold on the gun. I don’t know where I learned to hold a gun the way I had been.

I wore a new sweater yesterday and I noticed last night that I have these small welts on my back on the right side, just below my shoulder blade. More of them came about today, so I don’t know if I’m having an allergic reaction to the sweater or the bra. Todd thinks it may be chemicals left on the sweater after its production, which makes more sense than the fabric itself because I’ve never been allergic to acrylic before.

  1. Interesting post. Just as a quick advice for dry skin. You don’t have to suffer from that, use Corium 21 from Really Good Aloe.com
It’s natural and it absorbs into your skin immediately, leaving it soft and moisturized. Trust me, I have been using this cream for years, and I say it works wonders.
Anyhow, I will continue reading your blog.
