don’t follow me

Note: This was a dream of mine. I have this warning here because some visitors have thought my life had just gone to pot, when really they were only reading one of my crazy dreams. :)

I was living with a group of people in a run-down, small house out in the middle of nowhere. It was nighttime and there was some man trying to get in, we thought to hurt us. I had a gun and waited by the door with the rest of the people behind me. The guy broke the door down and looked surprised to see me there with a gun. I shot him twice in the chest, but the gun didn’t fire anything. When he realized that, he shot me once in the head and I died, falling off to the right. Then he just sat down with everyone and talked with them; he apparently wasn’t there to hurt us at all. I got tired of being dead, so I sat up and went over to sit in a chair against the wall. This pissed the guy off, but he didn’t do anything.

After listening to him talk a while, I went down the hallway to the back bedroom, which looked like my grandmother’s bedroom does. I went through the bedroom to another one that was attached to it, gathering stuff for class. I was yelling back and forth at my cousin Jami about something when I noticed that Scott was asleep in my grandmother’s bed. I felt bad for having yelled, but I needed to talk to him, so I went and woke him up. I sat down on the edge of the bed and asked, “Is it true that you slept with two girls?” He looked kind of guilty and replied, “No, I just went on a date with them.” I nodded and jumped up, about to leave. I was upset that he had gone on dates so soon after we had broken up. He wanted me to stay and talk about it, but I said I would be late for class, so I grabbed my laptop and ran out. I could hear him getting up to follow me.

I ran outside and it was just like my grandmother’s front yard. It was daytime again and looked like a very sunny summer day. A lot of my family members were sitting around in lawn chairs, talking. I ran off to the left and shouted back, “I went that way!” while pointing in the opposite direction. I got up into the garden and sat down next to some roses, beside a large pine tree. I was wearing a really short, colorful skirt, and I had to adjust it so I wouldn’t flash anything. I heard my family members telling Scott that I had gone in the direction I had pointed, and not the direction I actually went in. I sat there in the grass for maybe ten minutes, praying, when Scott finally found me. He sat down in front of me, looking sad.
