suspended scholarships due to missing grade

I am extremely annoyed right now. I received a letter from the Office of Academic Scholarships today stating that “no scholarship funds can be placed into my account until these [missing] grades have been cleared up,” and that my scholarships will be cancelled if my CS-216 grade isn’t posted by February 15. This means that if Baxter or somebody doesn’t find my grade and get it posted soon, I’ll have to foot the bill for housing, tuition, and all the other stuff myself. Or rather, my parents will, because I don’t have that kind of money. Hence why I apply for scholarships… I cancelled my student loan for this semester because I wouldn’t need it. That is, I wouldn’t need it if I had scholarships. This is very frustrating. I sent Baxter another email to show the pressing nature of finding that grade sheet, and an email to the Office of Academic Scholarships. I had to go and find their email address myself, which wasn’t hard, but still, you’d think the “Director of Academic Scholarship Programs” would’ve included that somewhere in her letter.

Edit: I was just going through my mail and found a letter from my insurance company, asking for me to renew my Good Student Discount on my car insurance. Here’s the thing: I need to submit a copy of my grades along with the form. Well, since my grades aren’t all in yet, that presents a problem. Maybe I can print out my transcript so far and include a note explaining that one grade is forthcoming. Sigh.

That sounds exactly like something that would happen at SVC. You’re being penalised for some dumb crap that someone else DIDN’T do. I don’t understand why they can’t “find” your grade. God… I hope you get that all worked out. I’d be furious right now if I were you, but I’m sure you’re already at that point.

OH MY GOD! I did NOT spell my name with a Z!

The fact that you spelled your name with a Z made me laugh hysterically.

And she’s right…that is something that SVC would pull. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if something like that happened to me, but I would be furious. I hope you can work that out, and I hope that your professor decides to fix it soon.

“Trinitz” made me laugh, too. :D

It’s not even in the professor’s hands anymore: even if Baxter or somebody finds the lost grade sheet, it won’t do a bit of good unless someone is available that can put the grades in the system. Baxter worried those people wouldn’t be back until after New Year’s. :(

Now that’s another load of shit. There should be SOMEONE who can put your grade in there so you don’t have to deal with the whole financial aid fiasco. I hate how universities try to make things as difficult as possible. Would it really hurt to have someone come in to enter that grade? Honestly, how long would that take? But no, no person would do anything out of the good of their heart anymore…
