My speakers arrived! When I came back on Sunday, I had left them at home, so Mom mailed them to me and they came yesterday. I’m very tickled with them, especially since I have noticeable bass now. My other ones were good while they lasted, but they got to where they wouldn’t come on anymore, and they never had a subwoofer anyway.
I’m excited about Firefox 1.5 for two reasons: they incorporated the drag-and-drop tab feature, which I had used an extension for anyway because it’s just convenient as hell, and because they give you the option to have links that would ordinarily open in a new window (a huge pet peeve of mine) instead open in a new tab. Finally! Unfortunately, the Debian version is 1.0.4-2, and I’d rather have the Debian version than just a stand-alone that I downloaded myself, so that all the Debian-installed plugins and whatnot still function (such as Flash and Java).
I think I did okay on the physics test that I took yesterday morning. I always feel better about a test as soon as I’ve finished, and then it just goes downhill from there because I start second-guessing myself. Everyone’s talking about how rough it was, though, so that’s usually an indication that I’ll do well: I suck at the “easy” stuff. That’s how it always was in my calculus classes, at least, where I would do best later on in the year with the harder material.
I need to have done well on that test to keep my grade up. This semester has been really rough on me, grade-wise. I hear sophomore year is the hardest because it’s a weed-out year, so I’m hoping the rest of my time here isn’t so tricky. I won’t have finished all of my sophomore-level stuff after next semester, either, since I’ll be co-oping and not taking any classes. Sigh. I have a 3.7 GPA currently and I need to keep a 3.5 to keep my Presidential Scholarship (a.k.a. tuition paid).
My poor knuckles are dry and cracked like they usually are at this time of year. They’re very sore and I can’t tell you how much it burns whenever I wash my hands because of the soap. I’ve got to invest in some good moisturizer.
I helped Jess with some Perl and C++ stuff earlier and I was planning on helping Tiffany with her C++ program, but she’s not in her room. I’ve checked twice now, once at 5:30 and once about fifteen minutes ago, but no luck. Hopefully she’ll be back soon because I’d like to hang out with Scott and/or the guys. Speaking of whom, they’ve recently introduced me to Mario Kart on the Nintendo DS, which is a very fun little game. Reminds me a great deal of Wacky Wheels, an old PC racing game I played as a kid.
Illinois Pharmacists Balk at Contraception. Huzzah! Idiot pharmacists need to be shot.
Oh no! Now no longer can your speakers pick up those extra-terrestrial noises and interfere with your phone! y0 Kinyo!
Blech..I have the same problem with my grades this semester. But don’t be fooled…sophomore year was a breeze for me. So were freshman and junior years. It didn’t really become difficult until senior year, and that isn’t even because of senioritis. Somehow all professors just decided to throw everything at us all at once. Five million assignments due every day in every class. It’s awful.
Wpw. New speakers! Lucky! Mine suck :P
I don’t use foxfire, but that drag and drop sounds like an awesome feature! I know how the greade thing is. With the I did fine then the second guessing. I do that all the time! I bet you did fine. That’s what everyone always tellls me, but I still don’t believe them, lol! I hope you get your scholarship! What are you planning to get a degree in? ANy choice colleges? Awesome blog ;)
Well, I’m a sophomore at the University of Kentucky, so I’ll just stay here the rest of my college time… I’m majoring in computer science.
Mario Kart is the best game ever made.
I need a DS. :(
