No, it’s not required, but it is an option. I don’t know if it’s just for the College of Engineering. I suspect it isn’t, but engineering is the only area in which I hear of people co-oping. I chose to do it for the work experience and the money.

Since I’m co-oping, I’m not expected to take any classes. I might take a night class, but it’s not required.
