Yikes! Mine are disappearing quickly. They’re all a sickly yellow-green color now, and the scrape is fully scabbed over.

Ohhhh my God, I hate car accidents. I’ve been in a few, one of them because of my own stupid fault (I er, was trying to climb up into the front passenger seat of our van, when my mother braked suddenly — a kid was crossing the road. I still have the scars underneath my bottom lip.), and another gave me an egg-sized bump on my forehead. Those bruises look terrible, is everything okay now? I would’ve panicked. I don’t think I could handle these things very well. :|

Just take care, hope the car situation will be solved soon. And stupid airbag; I’ve heard a lot about how they have more cons than pros. :(

How do your bruises look now? I hit my knee off a desk in German, so I scraped the entire scab off and it bled like a mofo for 2 hours. Had to put a bandage on that when I returened to my room. Haha.

Glad you’re both ok! Those bruises look evil, and your car doesn’t look too happy either, but the important thing is (obviously) that you’re fine :)
And I’d imagine your Spanish teacher would rather that you’d used your Spanish in a slightly nicer real life situation.

As far as I can tell, I’ll be paying for all repairs out of my own pocket. I don’t know if the car that I hit is going to sit in an impound for a long while, be returned to the owner (not the Mexican that was driving), or what.

Holy cack. I’m so glad to hear you’re both okay. Those bruises on your arms look nasty! I’ve always been a little wary of airbags — they seem to do more damage than good in smaller accidents.

Oh man, that is horrible. I know what you mean, my car just got hit about a week ago, and I wasn’t even in it! It was just sitting there.. not harming a fly.. and wham! At least you’re not at fault. Of course, it would have been nicer if someone that had insurance had hit you… I wonder how that stuff gets worked out when someone with no ID/insurance/etc is at fault…? In my case I have to pay for everything since it was basically a hit and run and my insurance is being cheap. I wish you luck! It really sucks not having a car. Mine won’t be back for a week. :\

Even though the driver of the Corsica had no earthly business behind the wheel, consider his day: He _almost_ made it home. Then suddenly he’s faced by the very authority he dreads most, the cops. I have a suspicion that your conversation in his native language may have been the only bright spot in his ordeal.

Your payback of damages plus (compounded) interest will go far in restoring a certain ’49 Olds.
