a runny nose and umbrellas

Well I feel pretty crappy. For the past couple of days I’ve had a runny nose, but now it’s worse. I keep getting the need to sneeze but I can’t, which just makes my eyes water like crazy. It’s been raining here today and Jess tells me it’s supposed to rain all week, which doesn’t help my mood. I’m kind of grouchy right now because of the horrible tickling in my nose from not being able to sneeze.

Despite having a cold, I had a very fun weekend. Last night I hung out with Todd[0], Todd[1], Scott, Kelly, and Brandon at Todd[1]‘s house where we played Mario Party and watched Family Guy. It was my first time playing so I sucked at it, but it was fun. Beforehand we ate at Applebee’s which would normally be uneventful but Todd[0] knocked my umbrella off behind the booth, and none of us were able to reach it. We had our waiter bring us a broom but that didn’t help, so Todd ended up buying me a new umbrella. Scott ended up leaving his chicken sandwich in my car, so I’ll have to remember and tell him that it’s now sitting in my fridge.

There will be a physics “pow-wow” tonight to study and do homework in my room. Jess, Patrick, Tiffany, and possibly Lora will come. I gave Dan a call today to see if he was up for it, but he has fraternity stuff so he’s out. I haven’t asked Lora yet; hopefully she’ll be able to come. I’ve finished most of the homework but I have at least ten problems left on topics we hadn’t covered in class until today.

I have calculus at 2 and then work from 3-5. I’m feeling pretty tired right now because I got seven hours of sleep last night, but that’s great compared to Tony: he told me today in CS that he didn’t get to bed until 4 a.m. because he was hanging out with his girl in Richmond. Damn, but that would suck. I don’t feel right unless I’ve had at least eight, though I prefer to get about ten.

I ended up buying Out of Exile by Audioslave Saturday and I’m liking it pretty well so far. Favorite tracks: Be Yourself, Doesn’t Remind Me, and Heaven’s Dead. Ashlee let me borrow her copy of Anna Nalick’s Wreck of the Day, and I love it, but her voice reminds me a great deal of Avril Lavigne. Favorite tracks on there: Breathe (2 a.m.), Citadel, Satellite, and In My Head.
