Todd, Branden, and I ended up watching White Noise and the first two episodes of Law & Order last night. White Noise was okay, but definitely not great. I disliked the ending because we were just left wondering if the girl got shot, and we never found out enough about the three spirits.
I got in bed at about 1 a.m. but felt okay, surprisingly, when I got up at 6:30 this morning. I helped Jess with registration at the diabetes walk for about an hour, and then went and walked with her aunt and uncle. We took the longer, 2.5 mile route through Keeneland. Starbucks was there with free bagels and coffee; I tried drinking the regular hot coffee but it was just too terrible. My lid said “decaf” on it, I noticed later, which might have had something to do with the foul flavor. Fortunately Jess had a bottle of water (some of that raspberry-flavored Dasani that tastes more like watered-down Kool-Aid than anything else) and my bagel was fine. I got a free t-shirt due to my volunteering, which I’ll probably wear Monday.
I figured that, upon getting back to my room, I’d take a nap, but I wasn’t tired and I’m still not. Watch me be dead asleep by 9 p.m. tonight, though.
I haven’t done any packing or studying today, and for that I feel like a bum. I’ve been here at my computer, working on getting my site under WordPress’s control. I now need to make a trip to the bank, get some dinner, and then return to do stuff for Dr. Jaromczyk.
