You have what is considered a professional splash page. Those are splash pages that are part of the site, meaning not a “click here and begin” but something that tells the visitor what a site is about and the updates. These look a lot cleaner and are better suited for a site meant to drawn visitors back. You don’t shirk off on the links, listings, reviews, etc pages either. Good.

Layout: 10/20

The layout didn’t impress me and I am very big on being impressed. Despite that though, it was pretty clean and simple – didn’t shock me or shatter my nerves. The layout works for 800×600 and higher which was refreshing. The image you used isn’t of the best quality but I did like the macro effect. When I compared your background to the rest of your site I noticed that the colors didn’t match entirely. Also, try using a solid background instead of a print for your content area – with such a busy background you need to offset it with something soft. That quote on top of your page shouldn’t be there, it makes everything look toppled. I got the distinct feeling of the “Leaning Tower of Pisa”. Maybe a one-liner?

From my professional, clean-cut standpoint I liked your site. It loaded fairly quickly and again, my nerves weren’t shattered or anything. While your site wasn’t great, it was nice and definently it wasn’t bad.

It’s a personal site and that is obvious. When I went through to look at your content there was so much of it that was relevant that I was really pleased. It’s not by far “original” but it’s a personal site – nothing for the viewer (but there doesn’t always have to be.) It’s not fair to judge one site by the types of others so you get a 15/15. I would definently go back to keep an eye on your digital art and whatnot.

Organization: 9/10

Fairly organized. A little bit of a muddle when I go to the specific pages themselves but I didn’t get lost. Even though you had a home link on the right you need to include back links at the bottom of some of the pages – that way people don’t have to scroll up and look to the right to get back.

Originality: 10/15

As far as portfolios go, your site isn’t entirely original. However, as a personal site, I liked the name, the content, and in general everything other than the green color you used on your layout (which is original in itself) .
