I had a good time at my cousin’s house this weekend. My one-year-old cousin, Julia, is just learning to walk so I got to hold her hands and help her toddle around the house a lot. Gina (Julia’s mother) and I stayed up until 1 this morning talking about various scary movies, books, and things, including the Winchester house. Hearing about said house (I think Jess has mentioned it in the past but I’d never bothered to look into it) intrigued me and, from the little information I found online, it seems pretty interesting.
I was quite happy to find, while on a grocery run yesterday, a Starbucks with a drive-thru. Yay, a way of combining a pricey addiction with sheer laziness.
It looks like I’ll be going to the state capitol in February for a conference dealy related to the bioinformatics research I participated in this past summer. I have to meet with Steve and Jess on Tuesday in order to work on our presentation that we’ll have to make. There’s also a letter to my district representative that I have to write this weekend, as per Dr. Jaromczyk’s instructions.
No classes for me tomorrow, huzzah. Lora and I are going to watch The Mothman Prophecies which I’m looking forward to as I love watching scary movies if I’m not alone. Big chicken, me.
I need to get my hands on a New International Bible because my old King James Version is just too boring for much reading. I have an honors assignment to read The Acts of the Apostles and unless I want to resort to SparkNotes for this and future assignments, I need to procure something that I can actually bear to read.
