Reading the entry and comment discussion here just chaps my ass. I hate the attitude that valid code is not something to be desired. Instead of climbing onto a very worn out but beloved soap box of mine, I’ll just throw at you an article about alt tags that I wrote the other day.
It has been rainier than a jungle around here for the past couple of days. I normally love the rain because I find it very peaceful (especially when I’m trying to sleep) but this shit is cold. I mean absolutely miserably cold. Thus, I have been cooped in the house and that’s getting old. I can’t even bounce on my trampoline due to the coldness, not to mention our yard is a soup right now. Boy, did I find that out today. Mom noticed one of our ducks is limping and it’s apparently because of a string caught ’round her leg. We had the idea of catching the bird and cutting the string off, no problem. Yes problem: ducks are slippery, speedy things and they remember, whenever some clumsy human tries to corner and catch them, that God did indeed give them wings, which they put to good (in the duck’s mind, at least) use rápidamente. That’s how I ended up, along with my parents, tromping around in the soupy yard in the pouring rain, trying futilely to catch a duck that did not want to be caught, despite our good intentions. Dumb fowl.
I watched Monty Python and the Meaning of Life today and enjoyed it but it made me want to see The Holy Grail again, which I sadly do not own. I should remedy that; it’s a good film.
I have to pack up my crap tomorrow in order to head to Jessica’s house the next day. Classes start again on Wednesday, as I recall. I suppose I’m ready. I’ve been alternately looking forward to going back and wishing to stay home. Here’s hoping this semester’s classes are enjoyable.
