more comment spam, reunion

I just deleted a little over 200 spam comments from here. Yay for filtering and thus being able to select all the offending comments for deletion at once. Looks like there’s a problem at the MovableType level and it’s not just bad luck. I set it to where you have to have a Typekey account in order to comment; sorry for the inconvenience inherent. You should also have Javascript enabled in your browser.

I feel quite the bum: I eat, sleep, and play The Sims 2. I keep getting panicky moments where I forget that I a) don’t have class tomorrow, b) don’t have to go to bed early, or c) don’t have homework that I should be doing. Once I realize that all is well, I chuckle to myself and go back to doing one of the three things that I do now, as mentioned above.

I plan on wrapping Trinity’s Christmas gifts tonight so that I can send them to her tomorrow. I planned on going shopping with my mother on Tuesday as it’s supposed to be warmer but Dad wants me to stay at home so I can watch some film with him at a particular time. I’ll have to check with Mom and see if she’d be up for venturing out tomorrow instead. That would work well for me as I’d then be able to mail my various Christmas cards and packages before going shopping.

I went to my grandmother’s yesterday for the annual Christmas family reunion of my father’s side. It was pleasant but I must be getting old: I didn’t want to go and I was happy when we left. I ended up riding back (yes, riding, not driving, and in my own car, too! Dad’s so paranoid) with a headache, I assume from being crammed into a smallish house with a large number of people who were always talking all at once. I did enjoy getting to talk with a few cousins of mine, though, that I only rarely see.

Methinks it’s time to scope out some chocolate.

  1. *registers typekey account*

yeah, my host sent round an urgent email regarding MT the other day. I don’t use it so I’m ‘safe’, but they’re going to run a script that renames all of the mt-comments.cgi on the servers, so that the spammers can’t comment as easily. Or so the theory goes.

I found it odd waking up this morning and not having lectures – yay for holidays!
