PA Police Apologize for Scissors Arrest
“The police chief and the head of the city’s schools apologized Monday to the mother of a 10-year-old girl who was arrested and handcuffed after she brought a pair of scissors to school in her backpack.”
How remarkably stupid is that shit? I couldn’t believe it when I first heard of this. They’re arresting little kids because they have scissors? I guess no more construction paper cut-outs to decorate the halls, unless the kiddies start using their teeth. Lord knows these are dangerous weapons.

It’s exactly because of the gun paranoia that they do crap like this. “Guns are weapons, so we have to make sure they don’t have those. But now they’ll just stab each other… no knives, no pencils, no compasses, no scissors. Paper cuts?”
That is crazy. The police should be worried about kids bringin guns to school, they’re a lot more dangerous than a pair of kids’ safety scissors.
