Well, that was fun. I just spent the last twenty minutes wallowing around on the floor (which made me notice that I really need to vacuum), trying to get my monitor to work again. I attempted to flop down at Imp this morning but my monitor kept saying Power Saving Mode and wouldn’t display anything. I checked all its cables and found they were hooked up entirely, so I tried plugging the power cable for the monitor in elsewhere. No luck, so I swapped out monitors. My old Philips, however, didn’t work either so I swapped back.

I then, blindly, shut Imp down and turned him off. I disconnected all the cables and pulled him out where I could see what I was doing, digging around in his innards. While checking to make sure all wires and plugs were connected fully inside, I found one little gidget that was just dangling. This, I believe, was the problem because Imp is back alive and my monitor’s working fine. Pfhew.
