vim, 1 a.m. groceries

I’m doing my best to learn how to use vim. I’ve borrowed Steve’s copy of the vi Editor Pocket Reference and I studied that today after taking a calculus quiz.

We’re reading The Nicomachean Ethics by Aristotle in honors now. Hopefully it’ll be more enjoyable than The Republic. I didn’t read the whole thing but I did read summaries of each book and we discussed it in class. Plato’s ideas about the perfect government are wacked.

I’m staying on campus tonight and then going to Jessica’s tomorrow. I need to clean her car due to that horrible bet that I lost but I doubt that I’ll do any washing while it’s so cold out. I can certainly pick up the inside and clean the windows, though.

Let’s see, things I need to do this weekend:
- Spanish: make flash cards for the new vocabulary words
- calculus: study for Tuesday’s test
- CS 115: work on Lab 6
- read more in The Social Contract and about vi(m)

There’s a banquet coming up for recipients of the College of Engineering scholarship that I plan to attend but I have to mail my acceptance card today. I guess I’ll swing by the post office on the way to honors this afternoon.

Ale8 can do wonders for one’s level of awakeness: I went on a 1 a.m. Meijer’s run last night to get jam and then got up at 7:40 this morning. After consuming merely one bottle of Ale8, I felt fine and am still doing okay. Of course, I’ll probably go to bed at some dreadfully early hour tonight because it’s the weekend and I’m backward like that.

I mustn’t forget to move my car out of K-Lot this afternoon. Thank God tomorrow’s home game is the last. Traffic’s going to be a bitch when I go to Jessica’s tomorrow and when I move my car today. All the crazy fans come out of the woodwork and hit the highways from as early as Thursday to sometime on Saturday.
