Today was a right pleasant day despite the bitter wind and cold. It’s beginning to feel much more like winter now. It wouldn’t have been so bad out except for the wind. But on to the reasons why today was so nice. Reason the first: I made a 95% on my honors paper and received the comments, “Very successful paper, Sarah. You write very clearly, and provide justification for your views.” I wasn’t really expecting anything less but it’s still nice to have concrete evidence of my score and not just speculation.

Reason the second: I registered for classes a few minutes ago and got every one of them. No reworking of the schedule for me! For spring ’05, here’s what I’m taking:
- SPA 210 – Spanish Grammar and Syntax
- ECO 201 – Principles of Economics
- MA 114 – Calculus II
- CS 215 – Introduction to Program Design, Abstraction and Problem Solving
- HON 102 – The Medieval/Renaissance World

Reason the third: I started working on a new layout for 3t7 last night and I like what I’ve created so far. This isn’t at all normal for me as I usually get completely disgusted with designs that at first look promising. The graphics were inspired by the film The Others which I purchased on DVD yesterday for $11. I actually incorporated two shots from the film, one with Nicole Kidman, a favorite actress of mine, in it.

I haven’t had a chance to watch the film yet as I spent six hours straight watching political coverage yesterday, from 7p-1a. I’m definitely not happy that Bush won and I was certainly pissed when Kerry conceded before Ohio was decided, but I reckon I’ll live. Life might not be so good, however, because I made a bet with Steve and now I owe him six Oreos and I have to vacuum his room. I wonder if Jess is going to hold me to our wager and I’ll have to clean her car inside and out. This is why gambling is bad, mmkay?

Now I’m quite thoroughly starved so I’m going to haul my carcass, clad in a thick yellow sweater (I may look like Big Bird but I’m a damned warm Big Bird!) and blue scarf, over to Commons for some grub.
