5 Feb 04 wellhouse

Note: This was a dream of mine. I have this warning here because some visitors have thought my life had just gone to pot, when really they were only reading one of my crazy dreams. :)

I had apparently done something bad and was locked up with an old man in this cage thing that hung from a pole outside. Our feet were clamped, too. We were to hang there for four months. The scene shifted and we were inside a dim, dusty room, chained up there. They had moved us because the townspeople had gotten tired of looking at us hanging up there, though we were still imprisoned of course.

We were talking when we saw that there was a way out. We opened the cage door that had been previously locked and slipped out. Now, I was with some other teenage girl and we slipped outside. We were in what looked like my grandmother’s backyard, but it wasn’t. We hid behind the wellhouse, listening to people talking in part of it. We slipped into another part of it, hiding in the dark. Some guys walked around, looking for us. I kept cautioning her to be still, because it was such a shallow room, and if the people outside only bent over a little and looked in, they’d be able to see us easily.

I switched POVs and was walking through the town at night. The mayor, a man who hated us, found out from his wife that we had escaped. “That’s it, blow up the town! I’m serious, blow up the town!” He caught sight of me, apparently one of his lackeys, and grabbed my shirt front, shaking me. “Well, have you done it yet?!”

The scene switched and I was with the mayor in a snowy, moonlit field. We could see his huge mansion in the distance, as well as the town. He was doing something, mostly stomping about and yelling about the kids that had escaped. He couldn’t figure out how they had escaped. Suddenly, a huge light came from his mansion and covered a section of the sky, like in Batman. There was a figure of a bat flapping its wings at us in the light. The people at the mansion were trying to tell us that the kids had turned into bats and flown out, that that was how they had escaped.
